Lana Kova Studio was founded in 2014 by Lana Kova, and is based in in Tribeca NYC. Lana’s work is multidisciplinaryand spans various mediums including sculpture, ceramics, watercolor as well as other forms of painting. She specializes in contemporary ceramic sculpture, pottery, and porcelain, and has a passion for glaze research and experimentation. There are a handful of visual motifs that have come to represent Lana Kova’s signature style, including hand-painted dots that cover the inside and outside of a vessel or a plate and intricate carved patterns that distill elements in nature. The result is a repeated surface or pattern that in its abstraction pertains to a feeling of infinity, conveying calm and meditation, alluding to the controlled rhythm and concentration harnessed in the making of each object.
