The caper berry is the mature fruit of the caper plant. Larger than capers, the berries have seeds inside, which adds crunch to their texture. Their long, elegant stems make them perfect for use as garnishes in salads, charcuterie boards, and even cocktails. Pantelleria's volcanic soil is high in minerals which makes its capers very flavorful and often considered the best in the world. Before using, rinse salted caper berries in a colander and soak in fresh water for a couple hours.
